These drugs cause the user to dissociate during their use, giving the feeling that they have left their body. This dissociation can cause the feeling invincibility and lead them to engage in dangerous and risky behaviors.

The most common dissociative drugs are ketamine, (sometimes call Special K or K) and dextromethorphan, sometimes called DXM, which is found in many medications.
