These drugs are vapors from toxic substances which can provide a quick high. Like many other drugs, they cause the body to slow down, leading to a brief feeling of euphoria followed by some very unpleasant side-effects like drowsiness, dizziness or agitation.

Common inhalants can be gasoline, room deodorizers, glue or nitrous oxide.

Inhaling these chemicals can come with serious side-effects, most notably loss of your sense of smell and brain damage. Not worth it!

Other side-effects include:

  • hallucinations
  • slurred speech
  • increased heart rate
  • passing out
  • nosebleeds

Did you know that sometimes users try to inhale chemicals from a bag? This is called “bagging” and in addition to other terrible side-effects of inhaling, it seriously increases the risk for suffocation!
